Kitchen Reasoning | Individual Educator Licence
One small ingredient can change the whole system.
Kitchen Reasoning is a classroom-ready systems reasoning resource that helps students notice how everyday ingredients perform hidden functional roles within a system.
Through six investigations, students explore how salt, flour, sugar, fat, water, and yeast can act as a constraint, structure, modulator, mediator, carrier, or activator.
Students observe what an ingredient does, consider what else may be happening, identify evidence, compare roles across different systems, calibrate confidence, and transfer their reasoning beyond the kitchen.
This is not a cooking lesson or a test of ingredient knowledge.
The ingredient is the visible object. The learning is in noticing the job it is doing.
