Classroom-Use Licence

Unless a resource states otherwise, a person who purchases or downloads a classroom resource receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence.

The purchasing or downloading educator may:

  • Save a personal working copy

  • Print the resource for their own professional use

  • Use the resource with students they directly teach

  • Print reasonable copies for those students

  • Display relevant pages during their own teaching

  • Store a working copy in a secure system accessible only to the educator and the students currently using it

  • Use completed student copies for ordinary classroom, assessment, conference, or portfolio purposes

This licence applies to the individual educator who obtained the resource.

It does not automatically provide school-wide, organisation-wide, district-wide, or commercial rights.

School-Wide and Organisation-Wide Use

A standard classroom-use licence does not permit unrestricted sharing among multiple educators.

Schools, organisations, professional-learning providers, resource libraries, or other groups that want to distribute a resource across multiple classes or users should contact The Irwin System™ to discuss an appropriate licence.

Written permission may be required for:

  • School-wide use

  • Multi-school use

  • Organisation-wide distribution

  • Professional-learning packages

  • Commercial workshops

  • Inclusion within another programme

  • Reproduction in published or publicly distributed material

Free Resources

A resource offered without charge remains protected by copyright and these Terms of Use.

“Free” means that no purchase price is required. It does not mean that the resource is free of ownership, licence conditions, or usage restrictions.

Unless otherwise stated, free classroom resources may be used by the downloading educator under the same classroom-use licence described above.

What You May Not Do

Unless you have written permission, you may not:

  • Forward the original digital file to other educators

  • Upload the resource to a public website or public drive

  • Place the resource in an unrestricted shared-resource folder

  • Distribute it across an entire school or organisation

  • Publish it through social media

  • Remove copyright, attribution, licence, or branding information

  • Present the resource as your own work

  • Copy substantial parts into another commercial product

  • Sell lessons, courses, or programmes primarily based on the resource

  • Convert the resource into a competing product

  • Use illustrations, diagrams, terminology, or layouts as commercial templates

  • Make the complete resource publicly available through an artificial-intelligence system, database, repository, or file-sharing service

  • Use the resource to train a commercial model or automated content system

  • Circumvent download, payment, or access controls

You may refer to, discuss, review, or cite the work in accordance with applicable law and ordinary academic practice.

Student Work

Students retain any rights they hold in their own original work.

Educators are responsible for protecting student privacy when displaying, sharing, storing, or discussing student responses created through an Irwin System™ resource.

Do not submit identifiable student information through the website unless this has been specifically agreed and there is a lawful basis for doing so.

Purchases

Paid resources are offered at the price shown on the product page or at checkout.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars

  • Payment is required before digital access is supplied

  • Payment is processed through the relevant payment service provider

  • Customers are responsible for providing an accurate email address and purchase information
